Nokia supports and participates in Earth Hour. Switch off your lights for one hour at 8:30pm on Saturday 28 March, and you'll help send a powerful global message that you care enough about climate change to take action. Supported by Nokia, Earth Hour 2009 aims to reach more than one billion people in 1,000 cities around the world.

Create your socket & pledge

One of the key ways in which we can all save energy is by unplugging electrical appliances when they're not in use. We've used sockets from around the world to communicate our message about unplugging. In this section of the site you can build your own socket face to sit on the wall. There's a step by step process which allows you to customize your socket as you prefer: choosing the basic shape, adding the facial expression, adding colour and choosing a pledge that you'd like to commit to. Once we've approved your socket, it will be published on the wall, and your socket will join all the other people that have shown their support for Earth Hour.

What's this all about
